10 years precision agriculture with NIK and Trimble

[vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]About 10 years ago the American company for GPS equipment for precision agriculture – Trimble launched their products in Bulgaria in a collaboration with the team of NIK Electronics LTD. Trimble Navigation Ltd is established in 1978 and almost for 40 years is developing GPS solutions for various industries, including agriculture which is one of the main focuses nowadays.

For this period of 10 years the Trimble products for precision agriculture are well known to the Bulgarian farmers and a lot of them are using not just steering systems and displays for precision agriculture, but advanced solutions for precision agriculture. So they can not only optimize their costs but also monitor in a real-time the tillage in their farms with the digital technologies.

In the distant 2005, Trimble’s first customers in Bulgaria are shown as innovators trusting the team of NIK and implement in their farms GPS displays, thoroughly forspreading.[/vc_column_text][vc_image id=”2053″ crop=”yes” lightbox=”yes”][vc_column_text]Later, with the advent of automatic steering systems such as Trimble Autopilot it is possible the displays to be used for sowing and hilling, which are a mass occurrence after 2009 in the bulgarian fields.

An interesting fact is that in 2009 for first time in the world the team of NIK install the automatic steering system Trimble Autopilot on tractor Belarus and after that upgrade a lot of  machines – old and new,  from the same brand.[/vc_column_text][vc_image id=”2054″ crop=”yes” lightbox=”yes”][vc_column_text]Now most of the machines in the farms are equipped not only with GPS display and steering system but also with systems for implement guidance on a slope such as Trimble True Guide and systems for section control for sprayers such as Trimble FieldIQ and Trimble Yield Monitoring system which creates detailed digital yield map during the harvest.
